Learn how to connect with your audience, overcome performance anxiety, develop a stage presence, lead or accompany other musicians, vocal techniques, and more! If you are an emerging musician or singer who would like to take the leap to perform live or you have performed live and want to improve your performance... this class is for you! Don't let performance anxiety stop you... join this supportive group held on the third Saturday of each month in a cozy environment that is guaranteed to make you feel right at home.

Beginner Group Guitar Lesson

Facilitated by Joe Fischetti

The group format will make you feel right at home. Each participant will be working on a group song as well as individual songs of interest. This is a fun intimate guitar lesson for those who are interested in learning to play guitar in a relaxed supportive setting. The group is limited to small number of participants... so if you are interested be sure to contact Vicky.

Laughter Experiment

Open Mic Plus...

The Laughter Experiment provides an innovative and exciting new approach to comedy, combining the best features of open mic sessions, comedy shows and improv theater. It's like an Open Mic Plus, with opportunities for comics to develop exciting new material, for audiences to hear perfected routines and for performers and audience members to interact with each other in different and creative ways. The Laughter Experiment will be run in association with The Late Shift, a local standup comedy ensemble, who perform throughout the tri-state area.

Anyone can perform at the open mic. Performers must register at RSR by 8 p.m. on the night of the performance. The number of performers determines how much time each performer gets, typically about 8 minutes, which they can split as they wish among presentation, discussion and feedback. General Admission is $10 for performers or audience members.
