The Laughter Experiment provides an innovative and exciting new approach to comedy, combining the best features of open mic sessions, comedy shows and improv theater. It is a Comedy Open Mic “Plus” with opportunities for comics to develop exciting new material, for audiences to hear perfected routines and for performers and audience members to interact with each other in different and creative ways.
Anyone can perform at the open mic. Performers must register at RSR by 8 p.m. on the night of the performance. The number of performers determines how much time each performer gets, typically about 8 minutes, which they can split as they wish among presentation, discussion and feedback. General Admission is $10 for performers or audience members.

After a car accident I had earlier in the week, I needed to take care of myself by putting things on my calendar to help with the emotional, spiritual, healing needed from the trauma. I was happy that open mic was coming up knowing how we, as a family bond, enjoy ourselves, connect, feel safe and relax at Rest Stop and that was exactly what I needed. Dawn Noble
