Community Drum Circles
Rest Stop Rejuvenate offers monthly Drum Circles Facilitated by Mark Wood.
Held the last Saturday of each month...be sure to check our calendar.
Benefits of a community drum circle include:
• new opportunities for socializing and making friends
• an outlet for creativity and community music
• an open door to people who may not otherwise play music
• a setting for spiritual growth and practice
• a supportive environment for creative expression
All kinds of people participate in community drum circles. Drum Circles are open to all; from beginners to those who have some drumming experience, to those who are experienced musicians looking for a community to “groove” with; some gather for spiritual reasons as others are simply looking for an opportunity to socialize or try something different. Whatever the desire to participate may be, being in touch or in tune with each other and ourselves as a collective voice is what drumming is all about. Join us as we gather together in the joy of drumming for our monthly drum circles . No prior experience is necessary. All you need is a willingness to participate.
Mark, whose down-to-earth style puts people at ease, facilitates a drumming experience that creates a sense of community and unity. "I try to create an environment in which deep relaxation, joy and healing can take place." People who drum with Mark report that they relax, have fun and "live in the moment."
I wanted to thank you for helping me through the crises; you are wonderful, compassionate and extremely skilled. I want to continue learning about Sacred Contracts and meet with you again very soon. Torry F.
